Rainy day blooms

You haven’t heard from me in a while, I’ve been busy volunteering for various festivals around Tuscumbia.  My latest was the Helen Keller Festival.  I took around 4000 pictures in the four days.   I’m still slowly working through them and posting to Remember Tuscumbia on Facebook.  Check out our pictures if you have a moment.  The Tuscumbian is our historical blog started for those who would like to tell their family story or history of Colbert County.  I’ve filled up my hard drive with all the pictures I’ve taken the last couple of years.   I’m having a second hard drive installed shortly just for pictures.

These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago before the daylilies had time to melt just after a rain.  We’ve had so much rain starting the fourth of July, that getting any pictures of daylilies that aren’t melted is impossible.

Check out my GRIT magazine blog post ‘Memorial Day in Helen Keller’s Hometown’.  I’ll be submitting a new post this weekend.
